Welcome to Teacher Academy. This first lesson shows what your role is, and how it fits into two hours a week.

Your students study their courses online. Your job is to help them start, keep going, and finish.

The job has five parts. Get your students started. Help them learn. Check the platform once a week. Write a short report every two weeks. And follow a few rules that keep students safe.

All of it fits into about two hours a week. About fifteen minutes go to the platform. Most of the rest goes to your students, in class or by message. That choice is yours.

A good week looks like this. On your check day, you see who needs help and write their names down. Then you talk to those students. Every second week, you send a short report.

Know what your students study: their course, its lessons and tests, and when they need to finish. Then you can explain to them what the course is for and what they will be able to do.

This course has twelve short lessons in four parts: your role, the platform, supporting students, and your routine. Each lesson has a video, a reading, and a quick check. You need a computer, and your username and password.

If something does not work, try to fix it first. If you cannot, write to support, the address is on screen, or to your coordinator.

You are done when you can name the five parts of your job and say how your two hours are spent. Next, sign in to your teacher account.
