APPENDIX No. 1. Description of the international educational program

1. PROGRAM NAME

Second Secondary International Education — Global Secondary Education Diploma (GSED).

2. EDUCATIONAL OPERATOR

Registration and settlements — Non-Profit Educational Association Swiss Innovators Club (Switzerland).

3. INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Instruction and issuance of final documents — FEYDEY K-12 School (California, USA). CDS Code: 19646836154017, California Department of Education.

4. INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION

The educational program is delivered under international accreditation:

  • WASC (USA)
  • ARRAY Accreditation (USA)

5. DESCRIPTION OF THE GSED PROGRAM

FEYDEY K-12 School presents a unique educational ecosystem created in partnership with the non-profit association Swiss Innovators Club and the international GSED program (Global Secondary Education Diploma), built around the innovative educational platform FEYDEY—Grade Results, combining advanced modern pedagogy, the latest technologies and educational models of blended and in-depth study of subjects in English, grounded in the fundamental educational standards of Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the USA.

The Global Secondary Education (GSED) program is an international online educational program for schoolchildren aimed at the parallel mastery of academic subjects in English, in accordance with the Common Core K-12 educational standard (USA), with the possibility of subsequently receiving the international U.S. High School Diploma upon fulfilment of all established academic requirements.

6. GSED SECOND SECONDARY INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

A dual-diploma program, provided in the format of supplementary education, at the individual choice and wish of the parent, which does not replace or substitute the core education and is intended for obtaining the National Certificate + the globally recognized international diploma — the U.S. High School Diploma.

A unique opportunity for students aged 5 to 18 from anywhere in the world — to join the Feydey diploma program, study school subjects in English and go beyond the national education standard.

To obtain, in parallel with the state certificate, a U.S. High School Diploma accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and an international transcript by California K-12 standards — without interrupting study at the core school in one's own country.

7. WHO CAN STUDY AT FEYDEY SCHOOL?

The GSED program is open to students from the primary grades through to high-school graduates.

Grades 1–5

  • Primary-grade students can take their first steps in international education, laying the fundamental foundations of English, building vocabulary and mastering sentence structure.

Grades 6–8

  • Middle-school students can develop skills of independently managing the learning process and studying subjects in English.

Grades 9–11(12)

  • High-school students earn the required 24 credits for the international diploma and prepare for olympiads and admission to top international or national universities.

8. THE PROGRAM’S KEY FEATURE

Personalized learning trajectory

— If the level of English proficiency corresponds to the age requirements, the student can join the GSED program in the same grade they attend at their core school and complete the GSED program in parallel with core study.

— If the level of English proficiency does not correspond to the age requirements, the student can join the GSED program in a grade from earlier years of study (2 or 3 grades lower), the one best matching their current level.

In this case, an individual learning trajectory is developed for the Student, aimed at filling gaps in subject terminology and vocabulary and at raising the level of English proficiency.

Over three to four months, the student sequentially gains access to the materials of lower grades, gradually advancing — until the age-related gap in language proficiency is fully closed and they reach the level corresponding to their core-school grade.

Individualized learning trajectory

Because schoolchildren study all learning material at their core school in their native or English language, and the GSED program is provided as supplementary education, not replacing or substituting the core standard of study, students gain a unique opportunity to:

  • check and revise knowledge of subjects gained at the core school, on the FEYDEY platform in English;
  • deepen knowledge of subjects of interest, independently devoting the necessary time to study on the platform at their own discretion;
  • fill gaps and catch up on shortfalls formed at the core school through independent work on the platform, systematically working through all unclear topics from already-covered material;
  • increase confidence in their knowledge of subjects, the quality of answers in class, and academic performance at the core school;
  • independently master new topics and subjects not taught at the core school, developing skills of independent work and assimilation of new material based on knowledge already gained at school and at home.

9. PROGRAM GOALS

The program is aimed at:

  • developing skills of independently managing the educational process;
  • intensive study of academic subjects in English;
  • developing communication, analytical and research skills;
  • forming an international academic portfolio;
  • gaining international competencies, globally recognized diplomas and certificates, including the U.S. High School Diploma;
  • preparation for further study at foreign higher education institutions.

10. STUDY FORMAT

Study is delivered in a distance format on the FEYDEY-Grade Results educational platform during time free from core school and includes:

  • independent study of subjects in English;
  • online webinars;
  • academic consultations;
  • project activities;
  • monitoring of learning progress.

11. EDUCATIONAL STANDARD

Study is delivered under the educational standard: Common Core K-12, California, USA.

12. ACADEMIC TRAJECTORY AND CREDIT SYSTEM

The Student studies along an individual educational trajectory taking into account age, level of English and the results of the entry diagnostics.

To obtain the globally recognized international U.S. High School Diploma from FEYDEY School, the student must, during high school (grades 8–11 or 9–12), earn the minimum mandatory twenty-four (24) academic credits established by the California Department of Education, including:

  • a minimum of 16 credits completed on the FEYDEY platform;
  • 8 credits (final grades) transferred from the national certificate or diploma of general secondary education in the established manner.
