Lesson four. You will create your own class and put your students in it.

The school creates student accounts, not you. You create the class, and add students who already exist. Open Manage Classes.

Press Add. You have two choices. A class belongs to one school, one course and one grade. You pick from the students of that course and grade, and the class gets a Performance link to follow their progress. A group needs only a name and a school, and it lists every student of the school, so you can bring together students from different courses or grades. Choose what fits your students. This lesson shows Add Class.

Type a name for the class.

Choose the school first. The course list stays empty until you do.

Then choose the course, for example English Language Arts 7, and the grade, for example 7. Leave Active ticked.

In the Students section, tick each student who belongs in this class. The list shows only students of the school, course and grade you chose.

Now look over the form once more. Check the school, course and grade before you press Add Class. After that, you cannot edit or delete the class.

Press Add Class. Your new class appears in the list, with you as the primary teacher, the course, the grade, the number of students, and a Performance link.

To add a student later, select the class row, press Assign Members, then Add Student. To see who is in the class, press Student Details, then View Students.

You are done when your class is in the list with all your students. If a student is missing, or you made a class by mistake, write to support or to your coordinator.
