Never started, behind or stuck
How to find out what is going on with each student on your list.
Transcript
Lesson six. You will take the names from your list and find out what is going on with each student.
Look for three kinds of trouble. Some students never started. Some started, then fell behind. And some keep working, but get stuck on the same lessons.
Start with those who never started. If there is no last login, or it is weeks old, the student probably cannot get in. Lesson eight shows how to help with logins.
For a student who fell behind, press View Details. Time on Task shows how long the student has worked. Completed shows how many activities are done.
For a stuck student, open View Details too. Not Mastered counts the activities the student has not passed yet.
To see which lessons, press Course Progress on the row. A page opens with every lesson of the course.
Red scores marked Needs Improvement show the lessons to talk about. Timur needs help with four of them, starting with Elements of Story.
For a quick picture, open Student Profile Report. It shows the pretest, the current grade and the final grade against the three zones.
Then talk to the student, in class or by message. Ask what is hard. Often it is the English of the task, not the subject itself.
You are done when you know, for each name on your list, whether the student never started, fell behind or is stuck, and which lessons are hard.
