Logins and a good start
How to help students get in, start on time and keep their access working.
Transcript
Lesson eight. You will help your students get in, start on time, and keep their access working.
In the first week, show your class how the course works: students read the lesson, do the workbook, then take the lesson posttest.
Students sign in on the same page as you, with Student chosen.
After a few days, check who has started. On your home page, Logged In History shows how many students have not logged in yet.
To see who, open My Activities, then Login History. Choose your school and the dates, and press Search.
If a student forgot the login, open Reports, then Student Logins. It shows each student's username and password.
Give the login to that student only, in person. Never post it in an announcement or a group chat, and never pass it to anyone else.
If the login still does not work, or a student has no account, you cannot fix it yourself. Write to support or to your coordinator, with the student's name and what you see on the screen.
Keep an eye on access. Once a week, check Login History for anyone who stopped logging in.
You are done when every student on your list has logged in at least once, and you know who to write to when a login fails.
