Do, Don't and FAQ

Do

  • Check school, course and grade before you press Add Class.
  • Do your weekly check on the same day every week.
  • Write to students privately about their progress.
  • Write to support@gsed.ch or to your coordinator when something is missing or does not work.

Don't

  • Don't look for a way to create student accounts. The school creates them, so that records, enrolments and reports stay correct.
  • Don't put usernames or passwords in a class announcement.
  • Don't share your own login, not even with a colleague.
  • Don't worry about red at 0% on a new class. It means no work yet.

FAQ

Can I create a student account?

No. The school creates student accounts. You create classes and add students who already exist.

A student is missing from my class list. What do I do?

Write to support (support@gsed.ch) or to your coordinator, with the student's name, the school, the course and the grade.

A student forgot their password. What do I do?

Open Reports, then Student Logins. Find the student, then give the username and password to that student only, in person. Never put them in an announcement or a group chat.

I made a class by mistake. Can I delete it?

No. Teachers cannot edit or delete a class. Write to support (support@gsed.ch) or to your coordinator.

The student still cannot log in. What now?

Write to support (support@gsed.ch) or to your coordinator, with the student's name and what you see on the screen.

Where do I send my bi-weekly report?

Send it by email, or give it to your school's representative. The form is in Lesson 11.

Where do I get help?

Try to fix it first. If you cannot, write to support at support@gsed.ch, or to your coordinator.
